Bang Lamad Road, (off Bang Khae-Bang Bua Thong Outer Ring Highway), Taling Chan,
Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market has been established since November 2004. The floating
market next to the Lat Mayom Canal gives locals a chance to see vegetables garden
the land used by the market is on the edge of a coconut plantation. Thus, they are
also selling their products along two sides of canal. Visitors can walk along a marked
out trail in the plantation, and the owner has even marked out which wild plants
are editable. Thus, tourists can learn about water soaking fertilizer production.
You can buy an orchid tree, then something to eat by visits the waterfront markets.
This floating market has many various sellers offering unique Artwork and Handcraft.
Hidden among the Arts and Crafts stores is a miniature maritime museum where tourist
can see the model boats and give details the stories of each ship with the acknowledged
actions of the Thai river life along with learn how to make them for free. Tourists
can paint and see clay modelling.
Tourists can row the boat to see a garden; the service charge fee is only 10 Baht
but a charter service with a route is about 300-400 Baht. The tourists can selected
the route such as Floating Market - Bang Ramad – Ban Sai and Floating Market - house
museums and Bonsai Garden Route.
By Bus Take No. 146 to Kanchanaphisek Road and alight at the offices of Samakom
Chao Pak Tai (Association of People from the South).Then take a 15-minute Songthaew
(Rod Fai-Wat Pu Theun route) to Bang Ramat Road.
If you are driving, take Kanchanaphisek Road and turn onto Bang Ramat Road when you
see the sign for Natibunditiyasapa (the place where Thai law students sit examinations
for admission to the Bar).
