The most common way to get from Bangkok to Pattaya is by taking an air conditioned
bus at the Eastern Bus Terminal on Sukhumvit road Soi 63, which is near the Ekkamai
station. Buses goes every 30 minutes starting from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm everyday and
cost 120 Baht.
Standard Bus Service
There are 2 type of buses here, the one in blue ( called Por Nueng non stop ) and
the one in red stripe ( called Por Song stop along the way ). For the non stop one
you have to buy the tickets at the booth, but the other one you can just hopped in
and pay the fare as you go depending on the distance.
Ekkamai serves Eastern Thailand destinations, including Pattaya, Rayong, Ban Phe,
Chanthaburi and Trat.
On the left is Sukhumvit Soi 63, Ekkamai. The Sky Train Station is situated right
at the top of Soi 63, and also alongside Eastern Bus Terminal.
Soi 63 is host to many fine clubs, restaurants, shops, clothing manufacturers, You
will also find Big C supermarket here which opened around 2005 / 6
