This drive through covers all the animals within this part of the fenced and gated enclosure. Giraffes, Rhino, Elephants, Hippo’s, Antelopes, Deer, Camels, Bears,Tigers, Lions. I would add that the lions and tigers are in a separate gated enclosure.

You are advised not to open the windows or to get out of your vehicle ( cars are allowed in also ) within this part of the Park. Who would want to get out at any part of this tour? They are wild animals after all. To them you’re just moving food.

The animals appeared to be well fed and well cared for, I didn’t see anything that gave me any concerns regarding welfare. The driver of the bus we were in, was thoughtfully stopping at various stops around, to enable people to take photos and videos. The first stop was the big bird enclosure along with Zebra scattered about. Then round to the Ostrich, Rhinoceros and Giraffes. Many Zoo’s now provide a feeding and viewing platform for Giraffes which means you are at eye level with these animals. The next part was where all the deer and antelope lived.

Arriving at the Tiger and Lion enclosure another set of gates was opened, I can see the need for these, if these should ever get out the free feed for them would take years to recover from the loss of animals in the main park area. Again you are advised not to open the windows here ( who would want to ).

The tigers and lions were resting under trees to protect them from the mid day sun. Some were resting in what can only be described as big bathtubs made out of stone filled with water. It was very comical to see them like this - but smart animals.

The last exhibits were the bears, these had  enclosures which they could wander around in and splash pools for cooling down in. Trees for shade, in one section a large cascading waterfall cooled the water down for the pools. Arriving then at the last set of electronic gates we emerged back to the outside world. people visiting the park.
